Good Country Physiotherapy has been providing high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care for patients in the upper Limestone Coast region since 2004, with clinics in Naracoorte, Bordertown, Keith and Kingston SE.
In early May, the business is opening a long-awaited new clinic in Mt Gambier.
“We have always wanted to have a clinic in Mt Gambier, to help patients right across the Limestone Coast region”, company director Angela Willsmore said.
“It’s great to finally see this vision becoming a reality”.
The new clinic will be at 15b Sturt Street, the former home of Blue Lake Sports Medicine clinic, and will feature a rehab gym, as well as treatment rooms.
“Our physiotherapists combine hands-on treatment with exercise and education to achieve outstanding results for our patients”, Angela said.
“We are looking forward to providing this same level of professionalism and patient care from our new clinic”.
Initially, the clinic will be open on Mondays, with two physiotherapists Justin Morris and Jason Bannister consulting.
Justin, who hails from Queensland originally but relocated to Mt Gambier earlier this year, has over 10 years’ experience in private practices across Victoria, Queensland and for the last year with Good Country Physiotherapy.
He is studying a Masters in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University and has a special interest in sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, lower limb injuries including tendinopathies, and post-operative care.
Jason is a long term local of the lower South East, originally from Kalangadoo but living in Mt Gambier for many years.
He graduated from physiotherapy last year and has been honing his skills at Good Country Physiotherapy Naracoorte since then.
He was previously a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
He has a special interest in injury prevention and rehab in weekend and elite sport, pain management, exercise prescription and helping people move and feel better.
They will be joined by company director Angela Willsmore, who has over 22 years’ experience as a physiotherapist in the Limestone Coast region.
She is an APA Titled Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, and currently undertaking specialisation training to become a Specialist Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist through the Australian College of Physiotherapists, the highest clinical qualification in the field.
She has worked with elite teams at state, national and international level.
She has a special interest in elite sport, injury prevention, junior athletes and lower limb injuries and rehabilitation.
The team at Good Country Physiotherapy look forward to helping the Mt Gambier community recover from injuries and return to the activities they enjoy most.
