Why should I come to see a Physiotherapist?Physiotherapists can help you live your life to the fullest, no matter what your age or health status. We are trained to manage pain and aim to help our patients to function better as quickly as possible. If you have never tried physiotherapy for your injury, give it a go! Physiotherapists work across many fields, including musculoskeletal, sports, occupational, acute care, aged care, hydrotherapy, pilates and more. At Good Country Physiotherapy, our staff have training in all areas of physiotherapy, so that we can help as many people as possible in our community and reduce the need to travel to the city for treatment in most instances.

What is Physiotherapy?Physiotherapy is a health profession which aims to help people who are in pain or have reduced function. Some people call us ‘movement mechanics’. If your shoulder isn’t moving well or it hurts your back when you do bend over, then physiotherapy can help. More than that, we can also help with lots of medical conditions including multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, stroke, heart attack, diabetes and much more.

What is the difference between chiropractors and physiotherapists? There are many similarities between chiropractors and physiotherapists. In general, physios are trained to treat joints, bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. Traditionally, chiropractors have been more focussed on joints. These days there are some chiropractors who treat muscles as well. One profession is not better than the other – if you get relief from your pain or injury, then that is the best profession for you.
