Naomi wins Barry Cahill Travel Scholarship!

Wow, what a week!

It was a great honour to present at the 26th National Conference on Incontinence at the Sydney Conference Centre on Darling Harbour.

I presented the study I carried out in 2016 on how common is urinary incontinence in Netball players, which I carried out in Netball clubs in the KNT Netball league.  It was a real surprise to win the Barry Cahill award for best abstract.

Some amazing research was presented at the conference on new developments for treatment and understanding the impact of incontinence so a really strong field.

I was commended on the great response rate in my study so thank you so much to all the local Netball clubs that had me out and to all those women who took to time to fill in my survey.

I was also congratulated on the potential impact of the study as Netball is such a popular sport, now we have the information that urinary incontinence is common in netball players it is much easier to design and get support for treatment trials to help keep women dry while playing the sport they love.
