Angela Willsmore

Angela Willsmore (nee Dunsford) graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with First Class Honours from the University of South Australia in 2003. She opened her first physiotherapy practice, known as Angela Dunsford Physiotherapy in 2004.  She celebrated 20 years in business and 20 years working as a rural generalist physiotherapist in the Limestone Coast in February 2024.

Angela has post-graduate qualifications in Clinical Pilates, Dry Needling (acupuncture), Sports Physiotherapy and Scar Massage. She is a Credentialled McKenzie Therapist, specialising in the self-management of back and neck pain. She is a Certified PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist, providing vital rehab services to cancer patients throughout the Limestone Coast.  She is also a Certified GLA:D physiotherapist for patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee or hip.  In 2010, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Management and a Masters in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (dux) at the University of South Australia.

She has worked in high level sport at local, state, national and international level.  In 2012, she achieved her career dream, working as a physiotherapist at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She has also been the head physiotherapist for the SA under 18 AFL team and worked with elite rugby, cricket and AFL teams.


She currently works for the University of South Australia Department of Rural Health as a Physiotherapy Academic, supporting physiotherapy students with rural placement opportunities.


She consults from our Naracoorte clinic regularly, and occasionally in Kingston.
