Sophie Dunnet

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Sophie Dunnet

Sophie has recently travelled from Perth, Western Australia to live in Millicent and joined the Good Country Physiotherapy team. She holds a Post Graduate Master’s qualification in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy from Curtin University (2018).

Sophie focuses on pelvic health, including the management of bladder and bowel dysfunction in both men and women, as well as the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and antenatal/postnatal care. Her true passion is working with patients experiencing sexual dysfunction and is comfortable in treating all genders and sexual preferences.

Sophie is a trained Pilates instructor and has worked with musculoskeletal clients for over 14 years. She has completed advanced courses in dry needling, often incorporating these techniques into her management where appropriate. She enjoys integrating both her musculoskeletal and pelvic health skills in rehabilitating her clients to better health, performance and quality of life.

Sophie is passionate about empowering her patients to achieve their own goals by adopting a patient-centred and active approach to healthcare. She is looking forward to both the challenges and rewards of working in the country communities of the Limestone Coast.

In her spare time, Sophie enjoys playing netball and spending time with her husband, toddler and black Labrador- especially if it’s outside in nature (although ask her in the middle of winter on the Limestone Coast and things may have changed!).
