Clinical Pilates //
We offer a number of different classes of varying difficulty, from beginners to advanced
What is Pilates?
The Pilates method of exercise was developed in the 1920's by Joseph Pilates.
It is a style of body-conditioning that has fused with principles of physiotherapy into our modern day Clinical Pilates.
Clinical Pilates classes focus on trunk stabilisation techniques, movement control and coordination, core strengthening, restoration of normal movement patterns and injury prevention.
Pilates can be done with specialised equipment or through basic floor exercises. The exercises can range from very simple to very advanced depending upon individual needs.
Pilates exercises can be performed lying down, on all fours, sitting or in standing.
Pilates is suitable for most people and the exercises can be tailored to meet individual needs and ensure safety.
