Keith Hospital Front Page of InMotion magazine

21-Dec-2011

In the November issue of the Australian Physiotherapy Association national magazine, InMotion, the plight of the Keith hospital is featured on the front page and in a five page spread. Angela alerted the national physiotherapy writers to the issues facing the hospital during an interview about her business earlier in the year. The writers thought it was so significant that they contacted James DeBarro, hopsital board chairman, for a full story. Angela was quoted in the article, which explored some of the reasons behind the withdrawal of state government funding for the hospital, and what lies ahead for the small not-for-profit facility. "It's fantastic to have local issues like the Keith hospital make the national physiotherapy news", Angela said. "This magazine has a distribution list of over 10,000 physiotherapists across Australia and beyond. To have Keith on the front page will really help to improve awareness of issues facing rural health service provision in South Australia. Hopefully it might help to attract more physiotherapists to help in this great region too".
