Many people experience pain at the front of the knee.  This is known as anterior knee pain.  It is commonly caused by poor lower limb biomechanics and muscle imbalances around the knee.  You may be surprised to know that many cases of anterior knee pain are also caused by weakness in the hip muscles.  This was discussed in detail at the recent APA National Physiotherapy Conference in Sydney. Read more
